This very new and exciting workshop with Aurora has the goal to step away from the independent mentality of pole dancing and to start working as one group around the pole. The way we pole dance is often very individual, but what if you have an organism of a large group of people moving together, not in function of the pole and doing tricks but in function of each other?

The workshop is about seeking human contact, and making something immobile, hard and cold like a dance pole seem soft and fluid through the connections the group will make. The workshop will be guided and choreographed by Aurora but also includes free creation moments in little groups to research new patterns that are unique to the group.

This is a 3 hour workshop, with time for an introduction, breaks, snacks, “showcase” moments at the end and plenty of time for play!

Experience: Comfortable in Pole Base: climb, knee hook, sits. Comfortable with being touched and having physical contact from other people when dancing. 

What to bring: Loose and comfortable clothes and pole wear (shorts, sports bra).

We’ll be dancing on songs of falling in and out of love, heartbreak/heartache and everything in between. It’s gonna get theatrical: Playing with exaggerated gestures and dramatic gazes - this choreo is dripping kitsch alongside heavy violin riffs and heavenly lyrics dedicated to the moment our eyesight gets all hazy and coloured pink. Come with or without heels, bring your kneepads in any case! Level: comfortable in Pole Base :)

Let’s celebrate a Valentine’s day that is dedicated to giving and receiving. We’ll conclude with a little jam: there is plenty of time to hang out, exchange, redo the elements we explored during class. The doors are open to welcome your Valentines: share your Valentine’s gift by showing off your skills of seduction in an intimate surrounding.

During POC Pole, we come together as a community of racialised minds & bodies that enjoy pole dance. POC Pole aims to be a physical, emotional & political space for  those affected by racism. It is a space in chosen mixity.

Different levels of pole dancers are welcome here! But you know the basic techniques of pole dance. This is not an initiation. We warm up together and will work on different skills and combos that can be adaptable to any level. You can also work on your own goals and ask guidance from the instructor. 

A racialized person is “someone who is an actual or perceived member of a group which has been subject to a racialization process" - basically, anyone non-white. It's a pro-black and brown, pro-trans, pro-sexwork, pro-fat space. This is a non-competitive and non-comparative class, every pole-journey is valid.

Pole Fluid is a combination of dancing around the pole in one fluid movement and the power of improvisation. Under Thilde's guidance, you will learn to flow around the pole with a focus on creating beautiful lines and dance. Instead of working step by step, you will look for your own and unique way to connect movements by being guided by music. How do we cope when we stumble? When we can't remember the next step? How do we make sure we don't stall? You will learn it all!

Level: Comfortable in Pole Base. In this class, no tricks are done where we hang upside down. We stay with our feet mostly on the ground.

Come in an outfit you feel comfortable in. Loose trousers or jogging, shorts, oversized t-shirt, bralette... Always provide knee pads and socks.

Lazy sunday at the studio. Let’s redirect our focus from goal-oriented pole dancing to the softness & sensuality of our bodies. Don’t expect any painful tricks, or building up strength. Expect a lot of breathing, a lot of sliding and a lot of feelings…

One hour of deep stretches. 

One hour of floorwork. 

One hour of soft & sensual pole. 

Beginner friendly! Also if you have never touched the pole <3

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in; clothes that keep you warm, that feel soft and sensual and that slide on the floor. Floorwork and pole can be with heels if you feel like it!. Don’t forget your socks, kneepads and water bottles.

Asia Q (they/them) is a traveling pole performer and instructor based in Brooklyn, NY. They specialize in spin pole and their style is described as fluid, tender, and intentional.

The Hooking Club is a space to share our love for feminist arts and crafts as a collective and activist practice. This can be crochet, but knitting, sewing, embroidery or other textile crafts are also very welcome. You can be a total noob or an expert, all levels are welcome. Let’s share our knowledge with each other and finally finish that one project you started last winter ;)

Zora provides the basics of crochet (wool & hooks) in case you don’t own your own materials yet and can teach you the first steps of crochet. 

Tea/coffee and some snacks will also be present. Always welcome to bring something 🙂

Do you want to give a second life to those clothes that you love but never wear? Bring them to the studio and swap them for something that you will wear!

Cosy Closet means you can come with our without clothes and you can leave with other pieces or maybe even empty handed (not me). You can choose to gift your clothes, swap them or if you have some valuable pieces you are also welcome to sell some pieces. Everything is welcome; clothes, bags, choes, lingerie, pole/sportswear etc.

Let’s share our love for fashion and second hand clothings.
